this day
sorry for the million year delay.

I have no excuse besides i think that the million year delay is a catchy idea and should be the name of a new olympic game.

there are a million things to talk about about what has been going on in my life, but right now everything feels completely dwarfed by the absolute devastation of Hurrican Katrina. I have found myself over the past few days sinking under that horrible veil of helplessness that can sometimes overwhelm the good intentions it comes from. That's why I want to absolutely implore from the bottom of my heart to everyone out there to do what you can to help. Donate to the Red Cross and Salvation Army, volunteer your time, give clothing and household goods to organizations that can help. There are literally hundreds of ways to share what you have with those who now have nothing. Please please inform yourself and look into little things you can do to help aid the relief efforts of this absolute tragedy.
here are some websites to go to.

www.redcross.org
www.salvationarmy.org
www.hurricanehousing.org
www.directrelief.org

please please please make this a priority. it is so important.

I have been struggling to feel like there is any merit in being concerned about finishing up a new song or getting excited about the beginning stages of releasing this album. It feels so unimportant. But the most amazing thing is that it is in times like these I am so inspired by the stories of seeing people coming together to help. It makes me want to more. That's what inspires music in me, and that's what I want to share. So the music I hope to make IS important as it's reflecting what I see and want to say. I want to say please continue to share love with eachother and do what you can to make things better.

sending you all my love,
s
