Vegimightmovehere
I might move here.
Not really, but i wouldn't mind it if it happened.

We arrived in Australia six days ago and they're not joking when they say "You'll love it here." I know that's not much of a catch phrase, and they don't actually say that in any sort of formal way, I was just thinking that if you happen to meet an Aussie at any point in your life and they happen to have said "you'll love it here" they probably wouldn't have been joking. Because I really love it here, and I would think it's not really a JOKING sort of thing to say, well, I don't know, Anyway...

I'm changing my name to McCauley. I'll show you why.
Me and McCauley

This is my new best friend, McCauley. And everybody knows that best friends have to have the same name. :)
Thanks to our awesome Zoo hosts, Jane, Amy and Gabe, we had close encounters with Koala Bears, kangaroos, wallabies, stick-bugs, and a possum that was in a knit cap. stopit. so. cute. Spent the entire day geeking out on the animals down under, and acting like little kids at the Taronga Zoo. Highly recommend that. :)
So now you know how we spent the whole of our day yesterday... But we have already done loads of awesome things like opening a show for the incredible Newton Faulkner here in Sydney, and I played on Australian Dancing with the Stars. We have wandered the botanical gardens in both Melbourne and Sydney, and I have met all sorts of wonderful radio and tv hosts who are playing Love Song and Bottle it Up for people down under!
Overall, australia has been unbelievable. The people are warm, and friendly, the scenery is outrageous and the accent is dreamy. I really do love it here. we will be leaving in just a couple of days (boo) but heading to London (yay)!

I really just wanted to check in and show off the fact that I met a Koala bear. don't be jealous. Or do. I don't care. He's MY friggin' best friend. so there.

:)

Hi!

I'll try to make this brief... It was one of those ordinary days that really usually don't matter. I had to pick up a few things from my record company (Sony BMG Music Entertainment Finland). I was supposed to drive to a gig some 200 miles away and didn't quite feel like the "pop star" the people were expecting to see later that night.

My A&R Manager handed over a few CD's, so I wouldn't have to listen to the radio all of the time (my flat had suffered a water leak damage and I was stranded over at my folks without my beloved CD collection). I recognized names such as Gavin DeGraw and Rory Gallagher among others, but decided to go for the one I had no idea of. So I inserted the Little Voice CD in the player, wondering who the heck this Bareilles character is.

And immediately fell in love with your music. Bang! That was one of those records that hit me straight in the heart. I gave both Gavin and Rory a chance during my escapade through the finnish wilderness, but eventually got back to your music every time.

Thank you for your music, I wish you the best - 'cause you deserve it!

Kind regards from your fan from the cold north,

Kristian A. J. Meurman

P.S. I'm coming to see your gig in Dublin, looking forward to hearing you live!
