Playing For Change Day Benefit Concert

Syndicate content Back to News Page
September is the month to celebrate Playing For Change (PlayingForChange.org), one of my favorite organizations in the entire world. My dear friends in Playing For Change travel around the world making incredible compilation recordings of the world's most amazing musicians (who sometimes never even meet each other) and then turn around and create unbelievable music programs in places that need it the most. They are connecting children all around the world through music, and changing the world as they go. They teach tolerance, understanding, community, gratitude, and most of all... love. (www.pfcday.org)

It is my honor to join them in September and do my part in the form of my very first STAGEIT show! Stageit is a way to bring concerts into your home, and connect with an audience that might be scattered all around the world. Just like Playing For Change is helping people connect to form a global community, I'm going global, too!! It's pretty awesome. You don't even have to get out of your pajamas. Maybe I'll be in my pajamas. Shall we just commit to that now? Hmmmm. I digress...

On September 10th, I will do a personal concert from a little room somewhere in the world and the lovely folks at Stageit.com will beam it into your world via a new invention called "the internet" (not sure if that name is going to stick, personally, but whatever). It's super easy to log in and view and all the details are above.

It will be fun, I promise. And if it's not, you can just close the computer screen. I'll never know. Really a win-win for you if you ask me.
Hope to see you then!!

Sara I go coming to us soon would like to meet you too incredible

Sara,

I just want to say that I don't have a Twitter account and saw you post this concert last minute (literally like 5 minutes before show time) on FB and I'm sooooooo happy I bought a ticket! You are absolutely amazing and one of (if not the best) artists I have heard sing dry mic style....AMAZING!!! That was the COOLEST experience I've had. I just finished working out and was sitting on my couch in my workout clothes, hair sweaty and all. Love that you sang the classics, King of Anything and Love Song, but I'm even more happier that you told us you were in Brooklyn working on your new album AND sang us one of your new songs, Only Shadows!!!!! So I'll stop ranting now and just say thank you and I'm looking forward to your upcoming album!!

xoxo
